Dear Colleagues, A happy new year to you all. We have many things to do in 2010 and this will be a very important year for all of us. SportAccord Combat Games We are finalising the quotas for each continent. We already have countries that have expressed a desire to organise qualification events. Anyone else interested in doing so, please let us know at the latest by 15th of January as we are structuring everything. We have the official letter sent to SportAccord confirming IOC patronage of the games and it will be available on the IFMA website soon, so please check. Jet Li has also become the official ambassador of the games and we will be posting a press release with regards to this on the IFMA website shortly. SportAccord Convention, Dubai We are in preparations for the upcoming SportAccord Convention in Dubai in April, which will basically be the kick-off of our Muaythai Towards IOC campaign. European Championships, Rome The next IFMA European Championships will be taking place in Rome from the 25th-30th of May. Please contact the EMF and our Italian NF the FIMT for further details. Please check the website for all contact details. WADA Charissa will be in contact with you next week with regards to out-of-competition testing and please follow her instructions to ensure that we are 100% compliant this year. Website We will be improving our website in the coming months, and Niamh Griffin is back on our team with regards to this. I would lastly like to point out once more that any national federation participating in non-IFMA sanctioned events will be immediately called for disciplinary action.
